  • Very occasionally, we may need to move or cancel a stay if we're directed to by a government authority - for example fire services, emergency warnings or health departments.

    If that happens, we’ll let you know as soon as we can and work with you to find a new date that suits you.

    If we can’t find an alternative:

    • Before your stay begins - we’ll refund everything you’ve paid.

    • After your stay has started - we’ll refund the unused nights on a pro-rata basis.

  • We know plans change. Here’s how cancellations work:

    • 30+ days before check-in
      No cancellation fee.
      You can choose to:
      – reschedule,
      – receive a gift voucher for the full amount, or
      – receive a refund (minus a 5% processing fee).

    • 15–29 days before check-in
      You’ll receive a 50% refund.

    • Less than 14 days before check-in
      Unfortunately no refund is available.

  • Yes - we’re happy to help.
    Just email us at info@spacesinplaces.com.au and we’ll take care of it.

    Rescheduling follows the same timing:

    • 30+ days before check-in
      You can move your stay to any available date at no extra cost.

    • 15–29 days before check-in
      You can reschedule, with a 50% rescheduling fee.

    • Less than 14 days before check-in
      We’re unable to offer a reschedule, voucher, or refund at this stage.

Rescheduling & Cancelling

  • We love pets, but they can’t stay at the Space.
    The environment is home to native wildlife, and the cabin doesn’t have the space or layout to keep pets comfortable or safe.

  • Unfortunately, no - the Space isn’t suitable for children.
    There are natural hazards on the property, including an unfenced dam.

  • The cabin is designed for a maximum of two adults.

  • We ask all guests to respect the quiet, the wildlife, and the land - it keeps the experience peaceful for everyone.

Who’s welcome to stay

  • Yes - our Space is designed with safety and simplicity in mind.
    We keep the area well maintained, provide clear guidance, and include the essentials you may need during your stay.

    If there’s ever anything you’re unsure about, just reach out.

  • We’ve taken care of the practical things so you can relax - including outdoor lighting, secure locks, clear pathways, fire safety equipment, first aid and snake bite kits and instructions via our guest guide to help you move around confidently.

  • Yes - our Space is fully equipped with both.
    You’ll find a complete first aid kit and a dedicated snake bite kit in the drawers under the banquet seat.

    If you ever feel unsure or need urgent help, please call 000 immediately.
    We’re always close by on email if you need guidance, but emergency services should be your first point of contact in a serious situation.

  • Our Space is immersed in nature, which means there are natural elements like uneven ground, wildlife, and water nearby. Nothing out of the ordinary - just the usual things you’d expect when staying in the Australian bush.
    We’ll brief you on the essentials in your guest guide.

  • Snakes do live in the area, particularly in warmer months.
    Stay aware of where you step, avoid tall grass and be wary in areas covered areas where snakes like to hide i.e. fire wood stacks, under rocks etc.

    We provide a snake bite kit on-site just in case.

  • Enjoy the moment - but keep your distance.
    Most wildlife are peaceful and will move away on their own.
    If anything feels unusual, let us know.

  • Yes the Lake is safe to swim in.

    The lake is beautiful and naturally deep in areas.
    Take care near the water’s edge and avoid swimming alone.
    Always supervise each other, and don’t enter the water if conditions feel unsafe.

  • There is an onsite site dam, which is unfenced.
    Just be mindful when moving around the property.

  • Yes - we actively monitor fire danger and emergency updates.
    If anything affects your stay, we’ll notify you immediately.

  • Follow the instructions provided by emergency services.
    Call 000 if you need urgent help, then update us so we can support you.

  • Yes - we provide Starlink internet which supports Wi-Fi calling and normal data use.
    Additionally, there is mobile reception, usually about 2 bars.

Staying Safe with Us

  • Check in is from 3pm, and check out is 11am.
    If you’re running early or need a little extra time, reach out - we’ll help where we can.

  • We’ve stocked the Space with all the essentials: fresh linen, towels, tea, coffee, condiments, firewood (seasonally), and a few small touches to make settling in easy.
    You’ll just need to bring anything personal you like having on hand.

  • Yes - the cabin has a full flushing toilet, just like home.

  • Pack your clothes, food, drinks and any personal bits you love.
    Everything else - the comfort, the warmth, the quiet - is already waiting for you.

  • You’ll receive your access code in your guest guide.
    When you arrive, simply enter the code into the lockbox and let yourself in.

  • A high-performance cabin, lake views, Starlink Wi-Fi, heating/cooling, a queen bed, a fully equipped kitchenette, flushing toilet, an outdoor barbecue, a fire pit (seasonal), bathroom amenities, and your own private deck.

  • Yes - we provide Starlink, giving you fast internet and reliable Wi-Fi calling.
    You’ll be able to message, scroll or unplug as much as you like.
    There is phone reception, usually around 2 bars.

  • Expect native plants, an unfenced lake edge, wildlife, and the natural terrain of the High Country.
    Take it slow, especially at night, and enjoy the quiet.

  • Yes - you’ll have a kitchenette, outdoor barbecue, fire pit, cookware, utensils and everything you need for easy meals.
    Bring anything special you want to cook with.

  • The plunge pool is simple: step in, cool off, float, breathe.
    Your guest guide explains the basics and any seasonal notes.

  • It’s not heated.
    Think of it as a refreshing plunge, built for warm days, lake breezes and clearing your head.

  • Driving is the easiest.
    We’ll provide step-by-step directions in your guest guide to make arrival smooth.

  • Yes - there’s dedicated parking right by your Space.

  • Bonnie Doon is around 10 minutes away, and Mansfield is 25 minutes if you need shops, supplies or a meal out.

  • You’re in the bush - so you may hear birds, kangaroos, wind in the trees and the occasional rustle at night.
    It’s part of the calm and charm of the experience.

  • No worries - your access code works anytime.
    Bring a torch, follow the instructions in your guest guide, and take your time when walking around the property.
